H2O ACADEMY PROGRAM
The H2O ACADEMY is our competitive squads based program designed for serious swimmers. The H2O ACADEMY is divided into two training groups; DIVISION 1, offering high performance training for elite swimmers, and DIVISION 2, which caters to a more intermediate level of performance based training.
DIVISION 1
Division 1 provides intensive training for serious swimmers between the ages of 8 to 20 who wish to reach their maximum potential in the sport within a highly competitive and intensive swimming program. Swimmers within Division 1 will aim to qualify for their home country nationals and will compete on high level regional and international swimming events throughout the season. This program includes dry-land training sessions in addition to the pool time.
Division 1 is divided into age groups to ensure the training maximizes results based on the developmental stages of swimmers. Division 1 is structured as follows:
– Division 1 Seniors: ages 13 to 20 (6 days per week including morning & evening sessions)
– Division 1 Juniors: ages 10 to 13 (6 days per week including morning & evening sessions)
– Division 1 Youth: ages 8 to 10 (4 days per week)
DIVISION 2
Division 2 provides a less rigorous training program for swimmers between the ages of 8 to 20 who wish to reach their maximum potential within a more moderate competitive program.
Division 2 is divided into age groups to ensure the training maximizes results based on the developmental stages of swimmers. Division 2 is structured as follows:
– Division 2 Seniors: ages 13 to 20 (6 days per week including morning & evening sessions)
– Division 2 Juniors: ages 10 to 13 (5 days per week)
– Division 2 Youth: ages 8 to 10 (3 days per week)
PRECOMPETITIVE
For those young swimmers with a previous swimming experience and good technical skills on all four stokes. This program aims at improving stroke technique and speed to prepare them for the higher programs within the h2o academy (division 1 or the division 2). This program is best suited for ages 7 and over. The pre-competitive swimming program is offered 3 days a week. The program is 45 minutes per session. Each swimmer will be assessed through out the term and will be graduated from this program into the divisions within the h2o swim academy.
